Transfer Course Equivalency

When transferring to the University of Utah, all previously earned credits will transfer as Elective Credit, General Education Credit, or Major Credit.

The School of Business has created a Business Transfer Equivalency Guide for use when searching for an equivalent business course at the University of Utah. Search the college courses you took at another institution to determine if they have been evaluated. If your course is not listed in the guide, you can submit a petition to have it reviewed by our faculty.

Additional transfer course equivalency information is available below.

Transferring from Inside Utah

For students preparing to transfer from an institution within Utah, it is important to ensure that your courses will appropriately transfer to the School of Business.  Please be sure to review the following:

Transfering from Salt Lake Community College

Transferring from Salt Lake Community College?  Explore our transfer guides below, which identify required lower-division courses a student can take at Salt Lake Community College and Upper Division courses to take at the University of Utah in order to fulfill requirements for a specific major or bachelor's degree.

Transferring from Outside Utah

Students transferring from an institution outside of Utah must petition their business courses for equivalency.  Some courses may already be approved, so please consult our Business Transfer Equivalency Guide before submitting a petition for equivalency.

Search the college courses you took at another institution to determine if they have been evaluated. If your course is not listed in the guide, you will be prompted to submit a petition to have it reviewed by our faculty.
