Overview
Marketing is an organizational function and a set of processes for creating, communicating, and delivering value to customers. Individuals with marketing backgrounds help organizations identify and satisfy customer needs using strategic thinking, business acumen, and carefully designed communications. Marketing majors study diverse topics such as market research, consumer behavior, advertising, and international marketing as well as learn how to build brands that people want.
